Here’s how the Charity Programme works

1. Get Involved Through Multiple Pathways

NGO Registration

Any NGO wishing to leverage the TCS World 10K Bengaluru platform to raise funds must first register with the event’s Philanthropy Partner, United Way Bengaluru. Once verified, NGOs gain access to the complete fundraising ecosystem and the privilege benefits linked to their fundraising levels.

Individual Fundraisers

Supporters can sign up as Individual Fundraisers and run on behalf of a registered NGO or cause. By creating a personal fundraising page, individuals can engage their networks — family, friends, and colleagues — to contribute towards their chosen cause.

Corporate Participation

Companies can participate in multiple meaningful ways:

  • CSR contributions, direct donations, payroll giving
  • Employee fundraising campaigns and matched donations
  • Fielding Corporate Teams in the race linked to their chosen NGOs

Corporate Participation Options

  • CSR / Direct Donations
  • Employee Fundraising Campaigns
  • Corporate Running Teams
  • Donation Matching Programs
  • NGO Recommendations (Subject to Due Diligence)

This pathway enhances corporate visibility while fostering employee engagement around social responsibility.

2. Fundraising & Contribution Mechanisms

Donate or Fundraise
Participants may either contribute directly or create fundraising pages to mobilize support. The philanthropy platform offers a transparent and user-friendly interface for donations, ensuring seamless routing of funds to NGOs.

Charity Bibs & Top-Up Donations
Runners may opt for Charity Bibs, where participation is linked to a minimum donation for a cause. Additionally, Top-Up Donations allow any runner — even those not fundraising — to contribute towards an NGO at the time of race registration.

3. Why Run for a Cause

Running for a cause adds deeper meaning to race day. It inspires participants to push further, engage their communities, and create a ripple effect of generosity that goes far beyond the finish line. NGOs gain visibility, donor networks expand, and communities come together for collective social change.

4. Recognition & Privileges (Based on Fundraising Levels)

Individuals, NGOs, corporates, and institutions that reach fundraising milestones are recognised through a range of pre-race, race-day, and post-race privileges — including visibility across platforms, event acknowledgements, special access, and invitations to exclusive experiences. This structure celebrates effort and encourages sustained participation.

5. What the Charity Programme Delivers

The TCS World 10K Bengaluru stands as South India’s largest philanthropic sporting platform — enabling hundreds of NGOs to raise critical funds while inspiring thousands of fundraisers each year. The programme showcases how collective action, when combined with the spirit of running, can transform lives and communities.

The goal is to make fundraising inclusive, structured, and rewarding for every participant.
